Use newer, better, technologies

We should be using currently available tools, such as internet forum packages, that provide the exact services we are requesting. Posting messages in to message threads and possibly having other people post their input in the thread.

Mailing lists and news groups are old technology that do not present information to the user in a convinient way. Everything that news groups and mailing lists can do, can be done by forums in addition to many new things that may or may not be of interest to the poster.

Some have said that there's no reason to post HTML, other formatted text, or graphics, however, that is not a reason to exclude the ability for someone to add such information to a discussion.
